Our wide-ranging educational program for young people and adults includes guided tours, lectures, seminars and project workshops. These various program modules can be selectively combined into one event.

Introductory guided tour

At the historical location of the unconditional surrender of the German armed forces on May 8, 1945, the Museum especially recalls the German-Soviet War of 1941-1945 in the context of German-Soviet relations between 1917 and 1990. The tour progresses through selected parts of the permanent exhibition. The topics covered include the creation of Nazi enemy stereotypes aimed against the Soviet Union, planning and conducting the war, the day-to-day life of soldiers, and prisoners of war and forced laborers. A customized tour can be arranged with prior consultation.

Introductory lecture

At the historical location of the unconditional surrender of the German armed forces on May 8, 1945, the Museum especially recalls the German-Soviet War of 1941-1945 in the context of German-Soviet relations between 1917 and 1990. This introductory lecture presents information about the history of the Museum building and the German surrender in Karlshorst. After the lecture there is an opportunity to independently visit the permanent exhibition.
